On collection, the driver signs the waybill.
On handover, a unique waybill number is assigned to the parcel.
These details are logged into the track and trace system via a handheld palm pilot.
At the hub, these details are transferred to a thermal label which is attached to the parcel.
Scanning the parcel - when it arrives or leaves - allows our control room staff to track it.
Smaller parcels are sealed in unique, tamper-proof envelopes.
These envelopes - along with larger parcels - are placed in sealed, secure containers.
Container is logged with the airline and a pre-alert notification is sent to the receiving branch.
The receiving branch collects the parcel from the airport and logs it into the hub.
All container seals are checked for tampering.
Individual parcels are scanned out of the hub prior to delivery.
On delivery, the parcel is scanned to confirm that it has been received by the addressee.

A festive message from David Lazarus

2005 has been an exceptionally rewarding year for RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers™. Not only have we continued to deliver a superior quality service offering, but we have also implemented a number of invigorating initiatives. These include an exciting marketing, advertising and communications campaign as well as numerous social responsibility projects.
As a result, RAM as a brand continues to grow and entrench itself deeper in the minds of our existing and prospective customers. Whether they phone our call centre, interact face-to-face with our collection and delivery teams, pass a RAM vehicle on the road, or see our street pole adverts and cricket sponsorship on television, we’re rapidly establishing our presence in the market and proving that we are definitely in a league of our own. At this time of year we must be vigilant to not let the RAM brand down. I urge you all to be aware of the increase in incidents of crime and theft as the year draws to a close. This importance of road safety must be top of mind, please exercise caution on the roads and be aware of the increase in drunken drivers on the road during this period. To ensure that the RAM brand equity is never compromised, I ask you all to go the extra mile and wave the RAM flag with pride. A sincere thank-you goes to each and every one of our staff members.
